Mein Mail-Provider All-Inkl schreibt zu Push:

Bei Sparrow gibt es Hinweise zum Thema, die ich nicht vollständig verstehe:

Hilft mir bitte jemand auf die Sprünge?

Muss man das so verstehen, dass zur Zeit unter den genannten Randbedingungen kein Push möglich ist?

Hab mir boxcar runtergeladen! Damit funktioniert Push!

genau das steht ja auch in den FAQ´s:

Sparrow does not do push (yet). You can help us make it happen. See how here.

While Sparrow does not do push, you can do the following:

Install Boxcar,
Create your Boxcar account or sign in,
Add a service "Email Account",
In settings of the service "Email Account" on the iPhone application, choose "Opens", select "Sparrow".
Now, forward your emails to the email address provided by Boxcar.

If you are on Gmail, you'll receive a verification email with a code that you will find on the Boxcar iPhone application.

Damit wir uns nicht missverstehen:
Ich möchte die Statusmeldung über neue ungelesene Mails ausschließlich via Statuskuller am Sparrow-App-Icon sehen, nicht über die Mitteilungszentrale.

Wenn ich das Boxcar-Konzept richtig verstehe, ist das was ich möchte nicht möglich, oder?
