Griffin has released a new case which they claim will boost your cellphone signal strength. Priced at $35 $30,
the Griffin ClearBoost is the first iPhone case to promise to enhance your reception.
They say it works best when you have around 2-3 bars, but does it?

griffin schrieb:We all wish we could carry around an external booster antenna for our cell phones. ClearBoost lets you do exactly that for your iPhone.

This clever case conceals a built-in booster antenna that captures more of the available wireless signal and sends it to the internal antenna of your iPhone. The result is a better signal, especially in border areas—which translates to fewer dropped calls, wider coverage areas, and faster downloads when browsing through your cellular connection.

Nothing to plug in -- just snap iPhone into ClearBoost’s durable polycarbonate case. Your iPhone gets protection from real-world hazards, and its antenna gets a boost.

Features:

* Boosts the built-in antenna of your iPhone
* Fewer dropped calls, cleaner signal
* Wider service areas
* Physical protection against bumps and scratches

iLounge thinks so.
"With one or two unencased iPhones next to the ClearBoost one, we saw gains of 1-2 bars under such conditions,
such that the standard iPhone might be at 2 or 3 and the ClearBoosted one would be at 3 or 4."

Crunchgear says it didn't work for them at all, but they were using it unlocked on T-Mobile's network.
Griffin claims that it was made to work with AT&T's network only (the case, not the phone).

You can get one for yourself online at GriffinTechnology.com

Either way, it says it's only effective for boosting your signal if it's already mid-range. Chances are this won't make a whole lot of difference,
or at least not nearly as much as if it boosted 0 to 1 bars up to 2 or 3.

Es wurde in anderen Foren und Internet Seiten geschrieben, das es nicht wirklich einen Nutzen bringt, schon garnicht die 30$ wert sind.

Also ich finde die Peinlich

Sieht einfach nur bescheuert aus Popcorn

Wii Revolution

Find ich auch nicht toll. Wenn da aus der Tasche immer so ein "Knüppel" rausguckt. Und dazu siehts auch nicht besonders toll aus.
