Jetzt hab ich mir gedacht, ich könnte einfach die Fadeout Funktion rausnehmen oder die Zeit verlängern, aber Pustekuchen. Sobald ich das so ändere, das die Stadt dauerhaft angezeigt wird, is das "°" -Zeichen komplett weg und ich sehe nur noch ein Fragezeichen in einer Raute...

Gibt es. Hier auf
machtemes.net Post Nr. #1428 findest Du eine Version, die auf GPS-Tracking basiert. Ist etwas umständlich zu istallieren, da man 2 zusätzliche Apps benötigt, einen GPS-Tracker und Backrounder, damit das GPS-signal auch im Hintergrund empfangen wird. Im Paket ist eine readme.txt enthalten, die die nötigen Schritte erklärt.
Ich habe es ausprobiert, es funktioniert. Um dann aber wieder die deutschen Bezeichnngen zu haben, müsstest wieder die configureMe.js ändern u. die translations.js aufmotzen. Ich benutze lieber die Version ohne GPS, da der Batterieverbrauch sehr hoch ist und ich nicht so in der Gegend rumfahre, dass sich das lohnen würde.

Habs heute via WinSCP installiert und den Wetterort auf "Saarbrücken, Germany" gestellt, alternativ hatte ich auch mal "Saarbruecken, Germany", aber trotzdem bleibt der Lockscreen schwarz und es steht unten nur "Loading" :-(
Hat jemand für uns beiden Hilfe?

Komisch ist aber auch, dass diese Config-Zeile nicht so geschrieben wird, wie du sie mir nanntest, sondern so orginal war:

@ p4ingiv3r: Bei mir hat es jetzt geklappt... Nach der Installation war er wieder die ganzezeit am Updaten.... nach einem neustart des iPhone's funktioniert es jetzt!!!
Welches geht nun bei dir? Das HTC? Oder das Katras? Bei mir bringts nix..kein neustart, nix..immer wieder "loading" mit dem HTC :-(
Was issn eigentlich, wenn der Wetter-Server gerade down ist und es deswegen nit klappt? :-D
