Hello guys,

im planning to go to Malaysia for a holiday. since you can find an unlocked iphone there, im planning to have one. see this for confirmation: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1937 . find under asia-pacific > malaysia. but, i'll check it by myself and i'll insert a german simcard to my iPhone. maybe i'll take a video to show it to you guys.

if i succeed, maybe i'll buy extra and reseller it here. but i got several question:

- how about tax/zoll ?
- should i activate the iphone there (in malaysia) or i can activate somewhere else? actually im trying not to open the original box if i want to sell it again. but if it should be activated locally (in malaysia), i got no choice.

ich antworte dir jetzt einfach mal auf Deutsch, das fällt mir leichter.

Zoll musst du immer beachten, vor allem wenn du aus dem europäischen Ausland einreist. Meldest du das iPhone nicht an und es stellt sich heraus das du es in Malaysia gekauft hast, dann wird Einfuhrumsatzsteuer fällig (19% - also der aktuelle Mehrwertsteuersatz) und im schlechtesten Fall diese mal zwei (Strafgebühr).

Wenn du das iPhone vorher in Betrieb nimmst und die Verpackung nicht mitnimmst, ist dies unwahrscheinlich jedoch nicht ausgeschlossen!

Wo du es aktivierst ist egal, denn aktivieren und nutzen lässt es sich mit deiner deutschen Sim.
