iTunes 7.7 installiert ungefragt MobileMe Einstellungen unter Windows

Remember that time Apple was trying to push Safari on people updating their iTunes software? It looks like Apple is at it again.
They just can't leave those Windows users alone. This time they're spamming them in the iTunes 7.7 update
with an unwanted MobileMe control panel that gives the user the ability to open a MobileMe account.
They're none too happy about it, either.

As you may remember, iTunes 7.7 is the version required to use an iPhone 3G or other iPhone running the 2.0 software.
Installing the new iTunes installs the new software, without asking for permission or letting the user know what it's doing.
Uninstalling iTunes 7.7 won't get rid of it, either. Users have to select "Apple Mobile Device Support from the "Add or Remove Programs"
applet in XP or "Uninstall or change a program" in Vista to uninstall it.

It's one thing to spam Windows users about something that is currently fully functional,
but worrying about getting more users for a service as shaky as MobileMe rather than trying to get it stable first doesn't make sense.

Stimmt, schaut unter Einstellung->Systemsteuerung?

Wieso "ungefragt"? Habt ihr etwa die AGB ganz durchgelesen? Biggrin

hätte ja mal beim installieren fragen können, wie es sich gehört, ob man es mit installieren will oder nicht.
