iphone 3GS backup
#1

after restarting of my iphone, i got only the screen display with the apple logo. switching on / off wont change anything. Connecting the iphone to the iTunes with the aim to backup the iphone wont work either, the only option in iTunes was to restore the system, which means that all data on the iphone will be lost.
Now my question: is there any way to get the data (especially pictures in my case) saved, prior the restore of the initial settings. On iTunes I dont have the choice (under devices right click( to get the backup. I think there must be some ways to access the iphone to get some data downloaded. Any help ? Thx.

Is your iPhone recognized as a camera? Then you can draw pictures on your PC. Have you ever made a backup on iTunes? If you have a backup, you can read them. Did you jailbreak your iPhone? Old or new bootrom? Firmware?

the problem is that i want to save the data (eg. pics), which are at present in the phone. I have a backup on iTunes, which is rather old (feb). When connecting the iphone to iTunes, i do not have the option of getting another backup from the iphone to iTunes and then do the restore. Now there is only the option to restore. But I do believe that there must be a way to rescue at least some data from the iphone. I just do not know how... :-(

Try pressing the sleep and home button simultaneously for 10 seconds.
The only chance to still save your data is to get the iPhone fully booting again. Then you could connect with iTunes and backup everything. But from the current status there's no chance to save anything and all data will be lost if you finally need to restore it.

Is your iPhone jailbroken? Do you know if the device got the new or old bootrom? Do you need it to be unlocked? Which firmware version is currently installed on the device?
