Install the Look Up in 1Password bookmarklet
Add a Safari bookmark to quickly grab passwords from 1Password to paste in a login form in Safari.
Step 1: Bookmark This Page You're Reading Now
Tap the + button at the bottom of the screen in Safari's toolbar:
Select Add Bookmark:
Give the bookmark a name, such as "Look Up in 1Password" and tap Done in the lower right:
Step 2: Edit The Bookmark
Tap the Bookmarks button in Safari's toolbar:
Find the bookmark you just made and tap Edit in the lower left.
You now need to modify the bookmark URL. Tap the bookmark you made, then tap its URL field (it begins with "http:") and remove all the text before the word "javascript". Position the cursor right before the "j" as shown below, and delete back to the beginning of the line:
The finished URL should look like this:
Step 3: Use The Bookmarklet
When you open a page that requires a password, tap the bookmarks button, then tap your Look Up in 1Password bookmarklet to quickly switch to 1Password. After unlocking your database, you will be taken straight to a list of Login items relevant to the site you visited. Tap on the password value, and tap Copy. The password value will be stored in the clipboard, and you can switch back to the Safari page to paste and log in.
Troubleshooting
If Safari says "Cannot Open Page" when using the bookmarklet, there are two cleanup tasks that need to be done.
First, make sure you only have one version of 1Password on your device. Having two 1Password apps at the same time is not needed and confuses your device.
Second, reboot your device. A full power cycle is needed, so press and hold the Home button and wait 3-5 seconds until the power down page appears. Slide the red "Slide to power off" slider and wait for the device to shut down. Once the progress spinner disappears and your device's display turns off, press the power button again to turn it back on and reboot. After rebooting, the Look Up in 1Password bookmarklet should now properly open 1Password.
