Seit dem Umstieg auf OS X 10.10 habe ich das Problem, dass sich der Gerätename ständig von selbst ändert. Das System hängt eine Ziffer an, die jedes mal variiert (siehe Screenshots). Zwar ist es möglich über Systemeinstellungen -> Freigaben die Änderung wieder rückgängig zu machen, aber nach ein paar Minuten wurde der Name schon wieder geändert.

Kennt jemand das Problem bzw. gibt's einen Lösungsansatz?

Ist bei mir auch mit Nummer am Mac.
Jedoch ändert diese sich nicht.
Der Mac wurde als 3. Gerät auf meine Apple-ID unter

registriert. Vorher waren es 4 und da hatte er die 4. Dies hat sich nun auf die 3 reduziert.

Hatte ich bereits in der Beta, bei mir, festgestellt - hat aber keine - bisher festgestellten Auswirkungen. Bin nun in der Domäne als User hinterlegt und bisher ändert sich bei mir nichts mehr...

Mein Problem ist, dass ich eine Applikation nutze, die in Client/Server Architektur realisiert ist. Der Server läuft lokal und der Client greift über den Gerätenamen darauf zu. Ändert sich jetzt der Name, kommt der Client nicht mehr zum (lokalen) Server...

Ich habe gerade bei meinem iMac und meinem MacBook geschaut und da ändert sich nix. Da wird auch keine Zahl hinten angehängt.....immer der gleiche, von mir vergebene Name.

Ich halte von dem ganzen DHCP-Zeugs nix. Ich vergebe meinen Geräten (wo´s möglich ist) immer eine feste IP-Adresse. Macht es für mich übersichtlicher und ich muss nicht mit Hostnamen arbeiten, sondern kann direkt die Adressen nutzen

Mein MacBook bezieht die IP von einer FritzBox per DHCP.

Ich habe jetzt mal ein paar Tests gemacht. Bei mir lag es an einer einmaligen Änderung und einer Änderung in einer Datei - resolv.conf... Ich suche mal die genaue Ursache...

Die Datei existiert bei mir nicht. Ich habe mal eine neue angelegt und den Entrag genau so gemacht.

Das Anlegen der Datei /etc/hostconfig hat leider nichts gebracht. Konnte das Problem diesmal aber besser im Log eingrenzen. Scheint wohl definitiv ein Problem mit DHCP zu sein.
