Hallo Members...

Das Finale 4.0 Safari ist da... Endlich...

Jetzt meine Frage...: Hatte bis dato Probleme mit der WLan Geschwindigkeit bei Routern der W 701 Speedport Serie...
Als Abhilfe gab es die zusätzlichen DNS Einträge...

Und jetzt...?

Ist unter Safari 4.0 ein zusätzlicher DNS Eintrag notwendig...?
Oder kann ich diesen jetzt löschen und Safari rennt auch ohne...?

Über Eure Antworten würde ich mich sehr freuen...

ich kann mir nicht vorstellen, was der dns-eintrag mit der browserversion zu tun hat.
dieses problem mit gewissen routern kenne ich, das hat aber rein gar nichts mit dem broser zu tun.

PS: safari4 beta war saugeil! safari4 final sagt mir nicht mehr zu.
hatte eigentlich vor, mit der final von chrome zu safari4 zu wechseln... da sie die tableiste jetzt wieder nach unten getan haben, ist der safari4 nicht mehr interessant für mich :/

natürlich hat es das - mit Safari 3.x waren die Probleme mit dem verzögerten Aufruf bzw. DNS-Auflösung da und zur gleichen Zeit mit Firefox NICHT, mit Safari 4 Beta trat das Problem nie wieder auf (daraufhin hatte ich auch die manuellen DNS-Eingaben gelöscht) und jetzt mit Final 4 funktioniert bis jetzt auch alles einwandfrei und schnell.

Kann ich eigentlich die angebotenen Suchmaschinen erweitern? Ich hab bis jetzt nur Google und Yahoo zur Auswahl. Des weiteren unterstreicht mir die Rechtschreibprüfung jedes Wort, kann/muß ich die noch irgendwo auf Deutsch stellen, oder muß ich wirklich jedes Wort von Hand anlernen?

das liegt sehr häufig an den plugins die du installiert hast. nicht an safari selbst.

foxmarks z.b macht derzeit massiv probleme

Wo finde ich einen deinstaller da die Version in meinem Forum Probleme macht.

1. Open Finder
2. Open Applications folder
3. Drag Safari to trash (click and hold the icon and then drag it to trash - that should delete it)/right click the icon and select 'Move to trash'
4. Go to

Safari 4.0 geht echt ab. Geschwindigkeit deutlich schneller!

die geschwindigkeit ist top, einzige was mir aufgefallen ist das er manchmal einfach beendet ohne das irgendetwas ist ein kleiner aber dummer bug.

verstehe ich nicht - hatte mal die 4 Beta genau so gelöscht und danach die 3.2.1 wie o.g. draufgemacht und hatte alles geklappt (auf einem MacBookPro Bj. 2008)

Vielleicht klappt es mit einer Parallel-Install wie hier:

Here’s a quick how-to get both Safari 3 and 4 beta running on the same system. You will need to use the terminal for part of this, and we will download an older copy of Webkit, which is Apple’s development builds of Safari.

(It’s a bit confusing, but there are Webkit frameworks, which Safari uses to render web pages, and a Webkit application, which is what Apple uses to test development versions of the Webkit frameworks.)

I am not responsible if this blows up your computer, causes your pants to spontaneously fall to your ankles causing you to flash your junk to the world, provokes fire to shoot out of your fingertips, etc.. Caveat nerd!

Download and install the Safari 4 beta. You’ll need to reboot after the install because of the system framework changes.
After rebooting, rename the new Safari.app in your Applications folder to Safari4.app.
Download the Webkit build from 11/22/2008.
Safari 3.2.1 was released on 11/24/2008 so I’m guessing this build is very close to that version.

Mount the Webkit disk image and copy the Webkit.app application to your desktop.
Rename Webkit.app to Safari3.app and move it to your Applications folder. In your Applications folder you should now have Safari3.app and Safari4.app.
The Safari 4 installer backs up the previous version as an invisible file located at /Library/Application Support/Apple/.Safari4PreviewArchive.tar.gz. We need the original Safari.app bundle as the old version of Webkit we downloaded will not work with the new Safari 4 bundle.

Launch the terminal and change directories:
cd "/Library/Application Support/Apple/"

Expand the backed up archive: tar -zxvf .Safari4PreviewArchive.tar.gz. This creates a few new folders in the current directory: Applications, System, and usr.
You can now copy the old Safari.app which is now available the the newly created Applications folder to the top-level /Applications folder. You can either use the terminal (running the command cp -R "/Library/Application Support/Apple/Applications/Safari.app" /Applications/) or by navigating to Library » Application Support » Apple » Applications in the Finder and copying the Safari application bundle that way.
After all of this, you should have Safari.app, Safari3.app, and Safari4.app in your top-level Applications folder. To run the Safari 4 beta launch Safari4.app, and to run the original Safari 3 launch Safari3.app. You may be able to run Safari.app as well (I was able to launch it and it identifies itself as Safari 3.2.1) but I wouldn’t recommend this as it uses the system webkit frameworks, which were replaced when Safari 4 was installed.

P.S.: Wobei ich auch nichtdie Probleme von Dir verstehe: Hatte die 4 Beta auf drei versch. Macs und das Teil hatte bei keiner einzigen Webseite ein Problem und ist auch nie abgeschmiert.

@ Raven: Ich habe bei mir auch spontane Abstürze unter der 4.0 gehabt. Habe via Spotlight alle Safari 4.0 Sachen gesucht, gelöscht und danach via Backup von Timemachine die Beta 4 vom 08.06. zurückgeholt.
Muss aber leider sagen, das der AbsturzBug auch hier ist. Ich habe die Apple Store Seite besucht, da ich hier wusste das Safari 4 abstürzt, und die Beta leider auch.
UND die 3.0 leider auch nanü......
Sollte es garnicht an Safari 4 liegen
