Zitat:It’s with a great deal of regret that the price of biteSMS credits are going to be increased. However the license price will remain unchanged.
All of our other recently (or to be) launched services (chompSMS.com, nibbleSMS.com, munchSMS.com and stompSMS.com) have been charging the increased rates for many months now. However we have been reluctant to raise the price of biteSMS credits, for a number of reasons, primarily because nobody likes price rises!
Our providers prices have risen dramatically over the last few months, and that coupled with the rising Australian dollar have reduced our margins to unsustainable levels.
Here’s just a few examples:
- Australian route increased in price by 289 %
- Germany route increased in price by 45 %
- Belgium, Denmark, France, Spain, Hungary, Italy, Netherlands…and lots more! actually cost us more than you pay us for an SMS (ignoring all other costs, just the raw price of an SMS message delivery).
There are always “cheaper” routes we could use, but after running the SMS network for 18-months now, and tested over 40 providers, we understand the quality ‘v’ price threshold.
Enough I hear you say, what are the new prices, and when do they take effect?
New prices:
Currency / Price Per SMS Credit / Credit Bundles
AUD 12 cents (6,12,24,60)
CAD 12 cents (6,12,24,60)
CHF 12 centimes (6,12,24,60)
EUR 8 cents (4,8,16,40)
GBP 6 pence (3,6,12,30)
SGD 16 cents (8,16,32,80)
USD 12 cents (6,12,24,60)
HKD 80 cents (40,80,160,400)
JPY 10 yen (500,1000,2000,5000)
These new prices will take effect on 8th September.
Despite us paying higher rates now (and making a loss on many routes), we want to at least give users a chance to purchase at the current rates for a few more days…
...Hopefully for some users, the prices are still reasonable enough to continue using the biteSMS service.
