Was der Blick in den Terminplan des Moscone Centers bereits vermuten ließ, hat Apple soeben offiziell bestätigt. Die WWDC 2013 wird in diesem Jahr unter dem Motto "The wait is almost over" vom 10. bis 14. Juni stattfinden und sich um iOS und - wie ebenfalls vermutet - das neue OS X drehen. Zu erwarten ist, dass Apple die Veranstaltung mit einen ersten Ausblick auf iOS 7 und OS X 10.9 eröffnen und kurz danach die ersten Betas veröffentlichen wird. Somit ist mit einem Release des neuen iPhones im inzwischen gewohnten Zeitraum Ende September/ Anfang Oktober zu rechnen.

CUPERTINO, California—April 24, 2013—Apple today announced that it will hold its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) June 10 through June 14 at San Francisco’s Moscone West. At the five-day conference, developers from around the world will learn about the future of iOS and OS X, enabling them to create incredible new apps with innovative features. WWDC will also feature more than 100 technical sessions presented by over 1,000 Apple engineers, hands-on labs to help developers integrate new technologies, as well as the popular Apple Design Awards, a showcase of the most outstanding apps available through the App Store℠ and Mac App Store. Tickets for this year’s WWDC go on sale Thursday, April 25 at 10 a.m. PDT.

Apple Design Awards which recognize iPhone, iPad and Mac apps that demonstrate technical excellence, innovation and outstanding design.

@soeren796 Das iPhone wird ja auf der WWDC kein Thema sein, Es geht um iOS und OS X. Wenn es nicht so absolut Apple-untypisch wäre, würde ich ja auf verschiedene Themes spekulieren

- Damit kann nicht das iPhone gemeint sein, ist noch zu neu.
- iOS 7 & OSX 10.9 wird wahrscheinlich vorgestellt aber wirklich drauf gewartet hat auch niemand
- Apple Fernseher und iWatch könnten damit gemeint sein
